Mooting

Mooting is the most popular and prestigious of the competitions because it simulates an actual court room.

There are two teams in each moot – one representing the Appellant and the other the Respondent.

Teams may consist of three people although only two people from each team speak in a moot.  Members of a three person team may, if they wish, rotate speakers in each round and all three members can be involved in the research and preparation for each round.
