"Isn't the River Stage like, open and grassy? Will there be a tent or something? ... Will we be walking on grass and stuff?"
The event is being held on the stage itself (which is undercover) and the paved area adjoining the stage. Several marquees are also being set up. Yes, there is grass there, but the area we are occupying is mostly paved. No walking on grass is necessary.
What's the theme?
Don't be late for a very important date: Alice in Wonderland Law Ball! Alice in Wonderland has emerged victorious as the Law Ball theme for 2008. Click on the link for full details of the poll results.
What do I wear?
The dress code is formal.
How much will tickets be?
$70 for L-Card holders
$80 for non L-Card holders
What if I cannot afford a ticket?
No worries - we accept credit card! See below in 'How do I buy tickets'.
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 6 May from the UQLS office in Room 1-W227 on campus. Cash and Eftpos (debit and credit) methods of payment will be available. If you are paying by Eftpos, we strongly encourage groups of guests to pay for their tickets in one transaction as this will ensure a much faster process of getting your tickets. Hurry, because tickets sell out fast!
Do I have to be 18+ to come?
Sorry kids, but yes, Law Ball is strictly an 18+ only event.
Do I have to be a law student or a UQ student to come?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome to attend the Law Ball.
What IS the Ball?!
For the unaware, the UQLS Law Ball is a formal event that attracts over 1000 guests and is the hottest, biggest, not-to-be-missed event of the year.
Will I be a social outcast if I don't come to Law Ball?
Without a doubt.
