Free Competition for Law Students - Win a Great Night Out

Foolkit (The Free Legal Toolkit) is running a competition for Law Students and Young Lawyers.

The prize is $500 paid to have a Great Night Out. Money on the bar, fine dining or spend it on a party at your house. It is your choice.

For details on how to enter the competition visit the Student page at www.foolkit.com.au.

Foolkit sits between the AustLII and the subscription services like Lexis Nexis.  It has over 12,000 links.  It gives you quick and easy access to the law for each State.  Everything is at your fingertips - including the things that they don't teach you at Law School.  It saves a lot of time on everyday tasks.

There was an article Fool-proofing the legal maze in Lawyers Weekly about it.

Student Services new take on Résumés

Not just another workshop spoon feeding you bone dry information, the new workshop ‘How to write a résumé’ answers all of your application questions in an interactive setting. With a focus on less numbers in the workshop, you have the opportunity to ask all of your burning questions specific to your industry.

The workshop aims to enable students to better understand their skills, qualifications and experience and how to market them to employers. With graduate program application deadlines looming in the next couple of weeks, you can really benefit from attending this workshop early to ensure that your application stands out from the rest! Be quick, these sessions book out fast!

Multiple workshops are run each week. To register for this event, go to the Events page on Careerhub: http://www.careerhub.uq.edu.au
